This application (hereinafter referred to as "the Application") collects the following information for the purpose of improving user convenience and enhancing functionality.

  • AI Analysis Feature: Sends image data to AI services for business card text extraction and recognition.

2. Types of Information Collected

2.1 Data for AI Analysis

When using the AI scan feature of this Application, the following information is sent to a third party (OpenAI).

  • Data Sent:
    • Scanned business card image (Base64 encoded JPEG format)
  • Timing: Only when the user scans a business card with camera and executes AI analysis
  • Data Storage: Image data is not stored on OpenAI servers. Only the analysis result (text data) is returned.
  • Purpose: Extraction of information from business card images such as name, company name, phone number, email address, etc. (OCR processing)

This Application uses the following AI services.

  • OpenAI API (GPT-5-mini-2025-08-07): Providing advanced image recognition and text extraction features

3. Data Storage Location and Methods

3.1 Local Data Storage

This Application securely saves user's business card data locally on the device.

  • Storage Technology: Uses AsyncStorage (React Native standard local storage)
  • Data Stored:
    • Card information (name, company, department, position, email, phone, mobile, address, postal code, website, note)
    • Image information (original image path, thumbnail path)
    • Tag information
    • Category information (Business, Private, Event, Other)
    • Favorite flag
    • Contact count, last contact date
  • Data Location: Only within user's device
  • Cloud Synchronization: Currently, automatic synchronization to cloud databases is not provided.

This provides the following benefits:

  • Can be used offline
  • No unnecessary data storage to third-party servers
  • Minimized risk of data leakage

3.2 Image Data Storage

Scanned business card images are saved in the device's file system.

  • Original image: Saved in high quality
  • Thumbnail: Saved in size optimized for display

4. Third-Party Disclosure

This Application uses the following third-party services.

4.1 OpenAI API

For the purpose of providing the AI analysis feature for business cards, the following data is sent to OpenAI.

  • Data Sent: Scanned business card image (Base64 encoded)
  • Timing: Only when using the AI scan feature
  • Purpose: OCR processing for text extraction
  • Data Retention: Image data is not stored on OpenAI servers (based on API specifications)

4.2 Contractual Relationship with Third Parties

This Application provides services only through OpenAI API and does not directly participate in the processing of user's personal data. Data processing within OpenAI's servers is subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.

5. Supplementary Notes on Future Expansion Features

This Application currently does not use the following features, but is considering their introduction in future expansions. When these features are introduced, this privacy policy will be updated.

  • Analytics Tools (Google Analytics 4, etc.): Under consideration for user behavior analysis and app improvement. If introduced, behavioral tracking using cookies and identifiers will be conducted, following the methods described in Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Ad Delivery (AdMob, etc.): Under consideration for mobile ad display. If introduced, ad delivery will be conducted using ad identifiers, based on Google AdMob Privacy Policy.
  • Cloud Synchronization (Firebase, etc.): Under consideration for data synchronization between devices. If introduced, types of data stored in cloud databases, retention period, and management methods will be clearly specified.

6. Data Disclosure

Except for the following cases, this Application will not disclose user's personal information to third parties.

  • When prior consent is obtained from the user
  • When there is a disclosure request based on law (e.g., subpoena from a court)
  • When necessary for protecting the Application's rights, ensuring safety, or investigating illegal activities
  • When it is necessary to comply with the terms of use of third-party services associated with this Application

In the event of disclosure based on the above, we will limit it to the minimum necessary information.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Local Data: Saved within user's device. Data is deleted when the Application is uninstalled. Additionally, manual deletion is possible using the "Delete All Data" feature within the Application.
  • AI Analysis Data: Business card images are not stored on OpenAI API servers (based on API specifications).

8. User Rights

8.1 Right to Request Disclosure

Users may request disclosure of their personal information collected by this Application.

  • Method: Use the export feature within the Application to export data in JSON format
  • Response Time: We will respond within a reasonable period

8.2 Right to Correct and Delete

Users may request correction or deletion of their personal information.

  • Correction: Directly edit each business card information using the edit feature within the Application
  • Deletion: Delete individual or multiple business cards. Additionally, it is possible to delete all data at once using the "Delete All Data" feature.

8.3 Opt-Out

To stop collection of personal information, please uninstall the Application.

  • iOS: Long press on app icon → Remove App
  • Android: Settings → Apps → Uninstall App

9. Security

This Application strives to protect user's personal information.

  • All data is securely stored within the device
  • AI API communication uses HTTPS encrypted connections
  • No unnecessary data provision to third parties without user consent
  • Please update the Application regularly to maintain the latest security measures

10. Considerations for Minors

This Application is not a service intended for minors. If a minor has provided personal information, please contact their parent or guardian to contact us. In that case, we will promptly delete the relevant information.

11. Changes to Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be changed as necessary. If there are important changes, we will notify via in-app notifications or the Application's website. Users are advised to check this policy regularly.
